THIS IS BIGGER THAN LACROSSE

Sarasota Kraken was built around a pretty simple idea: give kids a great place to play, develop, compete and belong. We believe the best youth sports happen when good coaches work together, families feel welcome and the kids stay at the center of everything.Different backgrounds. Different experience levels. One community.Welcome to the Kraken.

WHO WE ARE

Sarasota Kraken Lacrosse is a recreational boys and girls youth lacrosse club serving players from kindergarten through 8th grade. From the kid picking up a stick for the very first time to the player who already lives for game day, there’s a place here for them. We’re building competitive teams, developing players and creating a community families actually want to be part of.

WHY THE KRAKEN

Great lacrosse matters. So does everything around it. We want our players to learn the game, compete hard, build confidence, make friends and leave the field wanting to come back tomorrow. That means collaborative coaching, positive development and a culture where every player has an opportunity to grow.

HOW WE GOT HERE

Sometimes change creates room for something really good. Sarasota has an incredible lacrosse community filled with players, coaches and families who love this game. Kraken grew from a group of people who saw an opportunity to collaborate, bring families together and create something new for youth lacrosse in Sarasota.

NEW TO LACROSSE? EVEN BETTER

Never held a lacrosse stick? Perfect. You do not need years of experience to become a Kraken. Our coaches will meet your player where they are, teach the fundamentals and help them fall in love with the game.Boys + Girls. K–8th Grade. All levels welcome.
